Hi everybody.
I know there are so many people out there that are worried and concerned about Cole's condition and how Kirsten and Pete are holding up. I am not fully in the loop but I can tell you that Cole is being taken care of by the best in the ICU at the Calgary Childrens Hospital. Kirsten and Pete have been given a room next door to Cole so that one or both are close by. Cole is heavily sedated and resting.
On Monday March 30. Kirsten was preparing dinner and was reaching over to find flour to thicken a stew in a crock pot. Cole reached up and grabbed the cord to the pot and brought the stew down over top of himself burning the side of his face, back and chest. Kirsten immediately grabbed Cole and put him into a bath of cold water. From there Cole was wrapped in wet towels and placed in a snowbank outside to keep the burns from getting worse. According to doctors, Kirsten and Pete's family did everything right and may have saved his life. So now we must let the experts take over and give Cole the best medical care there is.
I think I can speak for everyone when I say that our hearts and thoughts are with Pete, Kirsten and Little Cole through this hard time. Please remember we are all here to help out in any way we can.
Be strong and brave Little Cole and get some rest. Love to you all.... June

ReplyDeleteWe are reading your website and are following you every day. We are very much affected of, what happened with Cole. We are praying for that everything is going to be good for him. We are happy to read ,that its going better and better , and we hope that Cole and all of you will find joy in your life again. Cole is so young and we all know , that it is amazing how much power children in this age have to rebuild their body.
